Camp Staff

A memorable and impactful experience.

Summer Camp Staff

Knox hires roughly 55 staff members every summer, and staffers can come from other states and councils. We pay a competitive salary and offer a great summer work experience.

Join the Knox Scout Camp Team for 2027!

The Robert E. Knox Scout Reservation is exploding with energy—and we want YOU in the middle of it. The secret of any successful camp is the Staff, energetic, knowledgeable and committed to making every week of camp a Week 1 Experience.

Work June. Own July.

Spend one focused month helping build the future of camp, and provide Scouts from around the Southeastern US for a great camp experience,  then enjoy a full  July free for your own summer adventures, travel, or just kicking back. It’s the perfect balance.
We’re looking for about 40 staff members—Scouts and young leaders from any council or state. You’ll earn a competitive salary while gaining real-world experience that looks great on college applications and resumes. What you get:
  • Build valuable skills outdoors—earn certifications, lead by example, and teach by doing
  • Help design and launch brand-new programs that will run for years
  • Make lifelong friends in an unforgettable setting
  • Directly impact younger Scouts by teaching character, life skills, and self-reliance
This isn’t just a summer job.
It’s a chance to be part of something big, leave your mark on camp, and still have most of your summer free. Ready to make June count?  Join the Knox Scout Camp team and help write the next chapter.
Apply now—spots are filling fast!
