Jimmie Dyess First Year Program

Jimmie Dyess First-Year Scout Program Director: Joyce Widby and Jacob Darlak

The Jimmie Dyess First-Year Scout Program is a high quality Scout Skill program that works with new first-year Scouts to learn the essential Scout Skills required for the ranks of Scout through First Class.

Through this program, we strive to help younger Scouts understand the ideals, values, and skills used within the Boy Scout program.

During the week of summer camp, Scouts will participate in earning the Swimming and First Aid Merit Badges, Totin' Chit, Fireman Chit while also working with skills for knots, lashings, orienteering, cooking, camping, hiking, and completing several requirements for the ranks of Scout to First Class.
