BASIC ADULT LEADER OUTDOOR ORIENTATION

The goals of a successful pack camping-outing are that the activity is:
   1) FUN!
   2) Based on the purposes of Cub Scouting.
   3) Successful in whetting the appetite of the Cub Scouts, their parents, and the leaders to want more of the outdoors.

By completing BALOO training, participants will understand the focus of the Cub Scout level of the BSA camping program, acquire the skills and confidence necessary to plan and conduct a successful first-time Cub Scout-level camping activity, and increase their knowledge of the resources available from the BSA and other sources to conduct a Pack camping activity.

A prerequisite to this training is the BALOO online training, which the participant must complete before the classroom portion. Participants must print the certificate for the online portion and present it at check-in.
