Open to all Council adult leaders and Scouts 16 and older. 16-year-old scouts may attend if he/she is interested in becoming an NRA Assistant Instructor. If the individual serves in that capacity twice a year until he/she turns 21, they then become a full instructor. These Scouts must be carefully screened a chosen for attendance based on their proven record of responsible behavior. The intent of the courses we are offering is to create more NRA Instructors in Pistol in order to expand our shooting sports operations year-round.

This course is being offered at a significant discount with the expectation that once instructors, the trainees will volunteer to assist with council shooting events.

The cost for the course is $40.00. This fee will be paid directly to the Instructor. The cost covers the NRA student packet, ammunition and lunch. Registration will be accomplished at the NRA website.
