Spend the day witnessing first-hand the political process in Georgia. Watch your legislators recognize your Scouts from the House Gallery. And have a chance to ask actual representatives your most pressing questions!

January Roundtables

New Year, New Adventure January Roundtable is this Thursday, January 8th at 7pm at both the Nature and Adventure Center and Aiken First Presbyterian.

Both roundtables will feature Cub Scout topics such as planning a fun spring calendar with your dens and hosting a memorable Blue & Gold Banquet, and Scouts BSA topics such as youth-led goal setting and annual planning refresh, and how to welcome AOLS.

Open to all leaders. Don't miss it!

Cub Scouts! Join us for Cub Scout Archery Day on January 17th at the NAC. Each Scout will earn the archery advancement for their rank.

Pinewood Derby Clinic

Get your Pinewood Derby Car ready for the big race at the Pinewood Derby Workshop! This is a FREE event to help Scouts carve and decorate their Pinewood Derby Car. Stop by any time from 10am-2pm on January 24th.

Race for the Golden Quail: Alien Invasion! 

The Golden Quail has gone intergalactic! Strange lights have been spotted over Knox Scout Reservation, transmissions are being intercepted, and rumor has it that mysterious extraterrestrial visitors are searching for the same legendary prize your patrol wants… the GOLDEN QUAIL!

Last year, Troop 8 blasted off to victory and claimed the title. But will they go supernova under the pressure of defending their reign? Or will another patrol rise from the ranks and send them crashing back to Earth?

Register your Troop today to defend the planet, complete alien-themed challenges, and outsmart off-world competitors as you race for cosmic glory!

Scholarship Opportunities

Sam Tyson Eagle Scout Scholarship

The Sam Tyson Eagle Scout Scholarship Fund was established by the Augusta Kiwanis Club in honor of former member Sam Tyson whose desire was to see youth become productive citizens. The scholarship is available for all Eagle Scouts who completed the Eagle Rank in the Georgia-Carolina Council.

NESA Eagle Scout Scholarship

The National Eagle Scout Association is proud to offer scholarships that can help you continue your educational adventure. Scholarships are awarded to Eagle Scouts who have shown active participation in school, Scouting activities, and community service, and who demonstrate they understand the fundamentals of service to community, service to Scouting and their character.

Training Opportunities

Wilderness First Aid

This weekend training course will provide you expert instruction and certification in Wilderness First Aid, and is required for all Treks to Philmont, Sea Base and Northern Tier, and is also great training to have for anyone spending time in the back country.

Wood Badge 2026

Wood Badge is the premiere adult leadership training program of Scouting America and is recognized by Scouting organizations around the world. The 2026 course will be April 17-19 and May 2-3.
