Scouts BSA Camping
Outdoor adventure is the promise made to Scouts when they join Scouting. Scouts yearn for outdoor programs that stir their imagination and interest.
Every Troop should have an annual planned program which allows for multiple unit level camping experiences along with participation in a summer camp experience and district programs such as camporee's or klondike derbies.
Does your troops plan include scheduled monthly program themes, scheduled Board of Reviews and plenty of outdoor experiences? Does your plan lend itself to giving active Scouts the opportunity to advance in rank? If not contact your District Commissioner and the District Commissioner team will be happy to help your unit build an effective, exciting troop program plan.
A great resource for Scout Leaders is the Bob White Lodge Where to go Camping Guide.
