About Us

For more than 100 years, Scouting has helped build future leaders by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun and adventure in the outdoors. We care passionately about what is happening to kids and our communities – and dedicate our time to supporting an exciting, quality program that builds better young people and our future leaders.
In the CSRA, Scouting is a force for good, enriching families and communities by reaching out to thousands of young minds across 2 states and 16 counties. Our reach extends to Columbia, Burke, Richmond, Aiken, Edgefield, Barnwell, Emanuel, Glasscock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McCormick, McDuffie, Taliaferro, Warren, and Wilkes, making a tangible difference in each of these areas.
The Georgia-Carolina Council is structured into three geographical areas known as districts. Each district has various local Scouting units, including Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crews, and Exploring Posts. These units are closely connected to our community, often chartered to local schools, religious organizations, or community centers.
Scouting is not just a seasonal affair-it's a year-round commitment to the growth and development of our youth. Whether it's in your neighborhood or at our picturesque scout camp, there's always something exciting happening in the world of Scouting.
If you're interested in becoming part of the Scouting community or have questions about the exciting opportunities we offer to families in the CSRA, we're here to help. Please don't hesitate to contact us at 706-733-5277.
