Knox Scout Reservation from July 12-18, 2026! This is your chance to grow as a leader, build lifelong friendships, and make a lasting impact in your troop, crew, community, and beyond.

What is NYLT?
NYLT is a dynamic, week-long leadership development program designed specifically for youth in Scouting. Through hands-on activities, team-building challenges, and engaging presentations, you’ll learn essential leadership skills that will empower you to lead with confidence, communicate effectively, and inspire others. NYLT is not just about Scouting—it’s about preparing you for success in school, future careers, and life! This nationally recognized program is modeled after corporate leadership training but tailored for youth. You’ll experience a fun, supportive environment where you’ll discover your strengths and develop skills that will set you apart.

Who Can Attend?
NYLT is open to Scouts and Venturers who meet the following requirements:
- Age: Must be at least 13 years old by July 12, 2026, and under 18 (Scouts BSA) or under 21 (Venturing).
- Rank (Scouts BSA): Must be at least First Class rank by the start of the course.
- Position: Scouts should hold or be preparing for a leadership role in their troop, crew, or community.
- Recommendation: Must have a recommendation from your Scoutmaster, Crew Advisor, or unit leader.
- Commitment: Be ready to fully participate in this week-long, immersive experience.
No prior leadership experience is required—just a desire to learn, grow, and have fun!
What to Expect at NYLT
- Location: Robert E. Knox Scout Reservation, a stunning 500-acre camp in Lincolnton, GA surrounded by forests, trails, and open spaces perfect for outdoor learning.
- Dates: July 13-18, 2026 (Monday to Saturday).
- Program: A mix of interactive workshops, team-building activities, and outdoor challenges designed to teach leadership through experience.
- Daily Schedule: Expect a full day of learning, fun, and reflection, with evenings filled with campfires, games, and bonding.
- Staff: Our experienced NYLT staff, including trained youth and adult leaders, are dedicated to helping you succeed and have an amazing week.

How to Sign Up
Spots are limited, so don’t wait! Registration opens October 1, 2025, and closes June 1, 2026, or when the course is full. Here’s how to secure your spot:
- Talk to Your Unit Leader: Get their recommendation and discuss how NYLT will benefit you and your unit.
- Register online at NYLT Registration to complete the registration form and submit payment.
- Prepare for the Adventure: We’ll send you a participant packet with everything you need to know, including a packing list and pre-course assignments.
