Our Vision: The Georgia Carolina Council provides structure and resources to attract, train and support quality leadership and programming. Utilizing the core Scouting values we instill the Scout Oath and Scout Law into the daily lives of all eligible youth to help prepare them to become responsible citizens and dynamic leaders.

To fulfil this vision we must reach out to more youth and keep youth in the program. The health of membership relies on the following:

  • Youth retention - Offer an active exciting program that encourages Scouts to continue their journey
  • Youth recruiting - Invite youth and parents to join the program
  • Volunteer recruiting - Identify and train adults to support the program
  • Unit retention - Actively support existing units to ensure they are healthy and offer effective programs
  • New unit development - Identify new chartering organizations and help them establish new Scouting opportunities
