In celebration of the Georgia-Carolina Council's 100th anniversary, we will be hosting the Centennial Gala on Friday, August 14th as an evening of fellowship and celebration of the journey Scouting has made throughout the CSRA since 1920. We've come a long way since then, and we want you to be a part of our celebration! Save the Date: Friday, August 14 at 5:45-9:00. The gala will be hosted at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion located at 3300 Evans to Locks Road in Martinez, Georgia. Guests are encouraged to dress in either Scout uniform or business attire for the evening. Guests attending will have the opprtunity to enjoy hors d'ourves and drinks, along with presentations from special guests and Scouting representatives, as well as displaying and reliving the historical Scouting story through the exhibits of the Newbery Gallery.
Registration will go live soon! Tickets are $25 per person for registration between February 1 - June 30, and will increase to $35 per person between July 1 - August 7 (registration will close at 5:00 PM on 8/7).
Scouting Members and Alumni: For those who have received the various Scouting honors and awards, we invite you to wear your appropriate award medal to recognize your service in Scouting. Wear as appropriate with Scout uniform or business attire. These awards include: Eagle Scout rank, NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award, Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, Scouting Alumnus Award (Council, Regional or National), Distinguished Service Award (OA), Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, Silver Buffalo, J. Rucker Newbery Award, and Centurion Award.
