A Scary-good time at Spook-O-Ree 2008!

Over 800 in attendance at Robert E. Knox Scout Reservation.

On October 24th-26th over 800 Cub Scouts, siblings, and parents attended the Georgia-Carolina’s annual Spook-O-Ree.  It took the efforts of volunteers from every district in the council to bring this event together.  After braving the rain on Friday night, Scouts enjoyed an activity filled day in beautiful fall weather.  Events included standards fishing, archery, and BB’s, along with new events such as a disc golf course and pumpkin painting.  The evening was also action packed as campers dressed in costumes and attended the Haunted Carnival.  Many also took advantage of the hayride to the Haunted Trail.  The evening wrapped up with skits and songs from various packs at the Campfire. Sunday morning campers cleaned up, attended a small “Scout’s Own” Service and headed home with a new patch and great memories of a fun event.  Special Thanks go out to Tom McLaughlin, CJ Mitchell, Marlisa Gibson, and the rest of the staff at the event.

Thank You Danny Kuhlmann!
