A Pitch for Scouting with the GreenJackets

A great night at the ballpark...a few of the "Boy Scout themed" jerseys the players wore are still for sale!

A near sell-out, including over 400 scouts and family members, enjoyed a great night at Lake Olmstead Stadium on Saturday, August 21.  Scouts had the chance to parade around the field...a Cub Scout threw out the first pitch...three scouts served as flag bearers for the National Anthem...we shared scouting facts and popcorn with everyone in attendance...and about 100 scouts and leaders spent the night camping in the outfield of the stadium!

In honor of our 100th Anniversary, the GreenJackets wore special "Boy Scout themed" jerseys...as you see in the picture of a player with one of our scouts.  These were auctioned off during the game with the proceeds benefiting the council...and we have a few left.  They are $70 each...if you are interested, please contact Jeremy Whitmore at the Council Service Center, 706-733-5277 about sizes and availability.  Don't miss out on your chance to get your hands on this unique scouting collectable!

Thank You Danny Kuhlmann!
